Do I need to be certified to dive?

For scuba, certification is required. We offer PADI certification courses. Snorkeling requires no certification.

Is equipment provided?

Yes, high-quality masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits are included. Scuba gear is provided for certified divers.

Where are the best dive sites?

Popular sites include Dudu Lagoon, offshore reefs, and various spots around Samaná Bay with excellent visibility.

Can children participate?

Children 8+ can snorkel with supervision. Kids 10+ can take discover scuba courses in controlled conditions.

What marine life will we see?

Expect colorful reef fish, sea turtles, rays, moray eels, and during winter, the chance to see humpback whales.

About This Service

The Caribbean Sea around Las Terrenas hides a vibrant underwater world waiting to be explored. Healthy coral formations, colorful tropical fish, sea turtles, and occasional rays and nurse sharks make every dive or snorkel an adventure.

For snorkelers, we arrange guided trips to the best spots around Las Terrenas and nearby islands. Our guides know where the coral is healthiest, where the fish congregate, and where conditions are best on any given day. Equipment is provided, and no experience is necessary.

For scuba divers, we partner with PADI-certified dive shops offering everything from discovery dives for beginners to advanced certifications and guided dives for experienced divers. Popular dive sites include the waters around Cayo Levantado and the deeper areas off the Samaná peninsula.

All trips include quality equipment, safety briefings, and guides who are passionate about the marine environment. We can also combine snorkeling with boat charter trips for a full day of water activities.
